Three Mortarr team members are in the running for AdFed Minnesota's 32 Under 32, which recognizes up-and-coming professionals in the advertising and marketing industry. Daily, they push beyond what's asked of them in pursuit of the uncommon. They make it happen and aren't afraid to sweat the details. And they make us so damn proud.

TAYLOR FRIEHL

Designer

REBEL WITH A CAUSE

Taylor is resident cool shit maker at Mortarr. She’s created the soul of a brand in Mortarr that people in the commercial design industry are falling in love with. She continues to hone her creative chops and cranked out some incredible design work this year. She’s even grown into more of an art director helping conceptualize and guide our creative vision. Her work on projects like the Mortarr App launch, the Mortarr Awarrds, Mortarr 100% Campaign, Naked Magazine, and the NeoCon guerilla campaign has taken our brand to another level of edginess. Her work has been praised by fans, colleagues, clients, and deservingly awarded at The Show. She’s also the glue for our culture, helping define it by her ability to bring our team together in the pursuit of the uncommon. 

 

Outside of Mortarr, her restless creative soul pushed out a new line of North Bound ’93 branded lifestyle clothing over the holidays, helped a small cycle shop kick some ass, and even helped some friends get their small businesses going.

THE SILENT ASSASSIN

Haley kills it, quietly and swiftly, on every project, every day. She’s the perfect combination of dreamer and doer. Even though fresh on the scene, she can envision beautiful and compelling visuals and can crank them out at an incredible rate. She refuses to do average work, always pushing for something uncommon. Her stunning work on our ad campaigns has helped us get more clicks, her site designs have helped shape the future of mortarr.com and she’s even become the secret weapon for our sales team, now armed with killer decks and landing pages to take the Mortarr message to the masses. 

 

Inside and outside of the office she is a major advocate of sustainability. Everyone is afraid to get caught drinking out of disposable water bottles (The Silent Assassin strikes again). We’re glad she’s killing it for our cause. 

JULIANNA ARJES

Social Media Strategist

A HUMAN FOR ALL HUMANS

Jules is part social media expert, part savvy copywriter, part talented photographer, part video creator, and 100% human. And she’s on a mission to make humans fall in love with our brand on social channels and beyond. She’s full of ideas and not afraid to make them happen. From creating short digital video series of rapid fire questions 30ish in 3ish to editing and sharing and incredible documentary about The New Old Bank Building, to using designer fails to promote better commercial design, her mark can be felt across the Mortarr universe. From a team gel standpoint she’s provided a breath of fresh air. Her positive attitude and can do mentality reverberates through fellow coworkers. P.S. She keeps a bag of dog treats in her desk so it's often the first stop on any dog's visit to the office. 

 

Outside the office she’s a side hustler’s side hustler. Launching and operating her own brand with a growing social following of its own. She’s also big into helping her Church and is a friend to furry friends of all.
