BEYOND THE SHOWROOM:

WOODWRIGHT HARDWOOD FLOOR COMPANY

BY: CHRIS PARCHER, CONTENT STRATEGIST, MORTARR

The woodworking wonder-people at Woodwright Hardwood Floor Company have spent the last 30+ years bringing life to the architecture of local, national, and world institutions and businesses. They are meticulous in their craft, bringing a flair and an artistry that meets the customer’s exact specifications and desires. Basically, they’re the Bob Ross of flooring companies. Except their “happy little trees” have covered everything from (of course) floors, to stairways, and even walls. Unlike beloved PBS painters, however, their passion can be found in two main tenets: luxury and sustainability.

ON LUXURY

Woodwright’s located in Dallas. Yes, that Dallas. So, it goes without saying that they’re no strangers to high-end expectations and even higher-end results. When a company’s work can simultaneously greet visitors in the lobby of a multi-national corporation while also creating a home-like intimacy in a high-rise hotel, you know they’ve struck gold. Core to this gold-level work is artisan-sampling, which gives the customer a custom, complimentary proof of the final product, above and beyond the typical 6-inch wood sample. Top it off with (wood) cutting edge technology able to produce intricate designs and incredible medallions, and they’re getting dangerously close to embodying the very definition of luxury.

ON SUSTAINIBILITY

A woodworking company’s best friend is the trees. Without them, there would be no wood to work. Crazy, right?! This is why Woodwright is single-mindedly pursuing green-friendliness. Not only are they certified by FSC® and Floorscore®, they hold an affiliate membership in the Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC,) joining with companies around the world in working towards sustainable business practices, from the manufacturing process to the end product. It’s safe to say Woodwright knows their success can only be sustained through a healthy environment and are determined to do their part in making that happen.
