Whether you’re still working from home or have returned to the office, by this point you probably have some [home]office preferences — the right desk, the right light, the right access to the coffee pot, the right chair. But it never hurts to be open to new suggestions; have you seen Dauphin’s new Indeed task chair?

The Indeed task chair not only achieves high ergonomic standards, but with its refined lightweight construction and slender design it brings a light touch to any workspace – in the office or at home. And thanks to its sustainable production process and eco-friendly materials, it also meets the highest standards for environmental awareness.

"We paid great attention to our fabric options," says Gigi Polo, Design Director at Dauphin HumanDesign® Group. "Among an array of recycled and eco-friendly fabrics, our Tonal fabric is 99% made from recycled PET bottles."

Designed by Rüdiger Schaack, Dauphin's in-house designer, the brief for Indeed was to develop a chair that was not too polarizing, and whose design wasn’t too expressive. Despite all of this, Schaack says he was keen for the chair to have really clever design details.

“The backrest support features clear edges that vanish in the surface, just like in automotive design, and there’s a smooth transition from the backrest support to the back creating a coherent overall design,” he says of his favorite elements.

Sustainability was a key factor in the design concept of Indeed.

About Fluropon®.png

20% Lighter

  • To make the chair easy to handle and conserve resources during production, Dauphin reduced the use of materials saving 20% weight in comparison to similar chairs.

Eco-friendly Upholstery Materials

  • Dauphin used “tonal fabric” for Indeed’s cover which is 99% made from recycled PET bottles and has been awarded the Oeko-Tex certificate and the EU Ecolabel. Other fabric options meet the standards of eco-friendly products.

2 Minutes or Less

  • The chair's design has been reduced to as few individual components as possible, allowing it to be assembled within two minutes without using tools.

<60% packaging volume

  • By saving on packaging material, Dauphin reduced the volume of packaging by up to 60%. Meaning increased loading capacities of trucks and reduction of CO2 emissions at the same time.
